Liberals Committed to Building a Stronger Nova Scotia

The Liberal plan to build a stronger Nova Scotia and create jobs is comprehensive, credible and carefully costed.

“Our platform creates jobs for young Nova Scotians and more opportunity for the middle class,” says Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil.  “This plan is a reflection of the hard work we have accomplished together and one I believe will keep our province on the path toward greater prosperity.”

Highlights of the Liberal platform include:

  • Tax cuts for 500,000 Nova Scotians and 1,800 small and medium-sized businesses
  • A new, universal pre-primary program for every four-year-old in the province
  • Programs that will create 2,000 more jobs for young Nova Scotians
  • Hiring more doctors and reducing wait times
  • Expanding the caregiver benefit program so nearly twice as many Nova Scotians can receive $400 per month while caring for a loved one
  • Four balanced budgets

“I want to work with Nova Scotians to keep making our province stronger,” McNeil said.  “We are building a stronger Nova Scotia that creates jobs for young Nova Scotians and supports a growing middle class.  This plan will help us achieve those goals.”
