12 Sep More Support for Technology Entrepreneurs
As Liberals, we know that creating a stronger economy means continuing to support growing industries.
Today, we are pleased to announce $500,000 in funding for Innovacorp, which will help support a technology hub based in Halifax.
Volta Labs was established in 2013 by a group of emerging technology entrepreneurs and the company will use the money towards educational programs, mentorship, community networking events and human resources.
“Expanding Volta’s programming is an investment in entrepreneurship and in this province’s future,” said Geoff MacLellan, Minister of Business. “This funding will help more technology entrepreneurs develop the skills they need to turn good business ideas into successful companies. Ultimately, that means more jobs and opportunity for young Nova Scotians.”
Your Liberal government is proud to continue to invest in the growing community of technology entrepreneurs in Halifax. We know that building a stronger technology sector will keep more young people living and working in our province.
