Candidate for Hammonds Plains-Lucasville Ben Jessome
As a devoted husband, new father and a serving member of our community since 2013, Ben has proved he is here for us – the people of Hammonds Plains-Lucasville.
With a “relationships before politics” philosophy, he wants to do what’s right and understands what it means to represent us through good times and bad. Whether it’s natural disasters, a global pandemic, or the wildfires of 2023, Ben prides himself on being an empathetic, tireless leader.
"Now, more than ever, I am committed to representing the place we call home. Last year's wildfires showed me just how vulnerable we are, but also demonstrated our strength and resilience. I will not stop working to ensure our priorities are addressed."
Ben insists on continuing to advocate for solutions to road infrastructure deficits, egress and emergency access, and has been initiating meetings with property owners who are potential partners in solving our community's greatest concern.
Deeply rooted for more than 30 years as a resident, student, athlete, coach, church member, and volunteer, Ben has honed experience and has been a strong voice as a member of the government and opposition. He has successfully advocated for new schools, health care facilities, and a skilled trades program. He is determined to continue to address our community's priorities.
