Her education in Human Resources and Business Administration equipped her with valuable skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. She spent two decades working in Group Benefits, which highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare, equitable policies, and the need for thoughtful decision-making. Shannon’s career in the private sector offered valuable experience to aid in her true passion: community service.
A proud mother of two, Shannon is deeply invested in the future of her community. Her work is focused on improving educational opportunities, expanding healthcare access, addressing housing needs, and supporting local economic growth. Shannon has served on the board of the East Hants EDA, where she advocated for improved rural internet access and championed policies to support mental health services and affordable housing.
