Vishal has been a loyal resident of Dartmouth for over 22 years. Putting down roots, he decided early on that Dartmouth is the city he wanted to call home. His family has grown here, and he now has two adult children who have been raised in Dartmouth for their whole life.
With 16 years of experience in Engineering and Quality Control, Vishal has progressively advanced within his career, leading with a solution-focused and collaborative demeanor. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Management, currently working as Quality Manager at Metocean Telematics. With thousands of regional and provincial community hours, he is a proven and passionate community advocate.
Serving on the Board of Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, Shubenacadie Canal Commission, HRM Special Events Advisory Committee, Portland Estate and Hill Resident Association, Ellenvale Jr. High School Advisory Committee, Parent's Special Group among many other local associations and boards, Vishal fiercely represents his community, building a welcoming, safe space for everyone. He is an experienced fundraiser for various local, provincial, and national causes. Vishal is a proud founding member and President of Nova Multifest Society and played a key role in bringing back the multicultural festival back to the HRM which has received special recognition from all levels of governments.
