Brian Casey appointed as the candidate for Hants West

(Halifax, NS) – Pursuant to sections 63 and 203 of the Nova Scotia Elections Act and in consultation with the Hants West Electoral District Association, Brian Casey has been appointed as the candidate for Hants West and will represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party in the next provincial election. 

Brian has been a leader in the agricultural industry for the past 40 years. Born and raised in Hants County, Brian worked with his father on their family farm for several decades, and now Brian and his son are continuing the tradition. Brian and his wife raise and show Clydesdale horses at Caseydale Farms.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to represent the people of Hants West,” says Casey. “I am committed to working hard to improve our communities to ensure a better future for our next generation.”

Brian is an active community volunteer and was recognized with a Volunteer Service Award for Hants West. He has been involved in several community boards and organizations, including serving as president of the Windsor Agricultural Society. After building his career and raising his family in Hants West, Brian is committed to promoting the many strengths of the community including tourism, entrepreneurship, and local and diversified agricultural ventures.

“Brian has long shown his dedication to Hants West and the agricultural community,” said Premier Iain Rankin. “We’ll be glad to have Brian’s passion and leadership in a new Liberal government.”
