Danny was raised in the small rural community of Little Pond, where he learned the values of trust, family, and integrity, fostering a deep connection to his community. Growing up in a large family, the son of a coal miner and a mother who ran a small home business, he understands the importance of hard work and community support. A lifelong resident of Northside-Westmount, Danny now lives in Sydney Mines with his partner, Karen Anne.
For the past 40 years, Danny has dedicated his career to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal within the Nova Scotia Provincial Government, where he has held various supervisory and management roles. Additionally, he served as a Shop Steward with the NSGEU and was a past Vice-President of CUPE Local 1867, representing the Nova Scotia Highway Workers Union.
Danny's life experiences have equipped him with the skills and determination necessary to serve his constituents in Northside-Westmount. His passion for running in this election stems from a genuine desire to make a difference in the community he loves. He is acutely aware of the current challenges, including the lack of doctors and healthcare services, poor road conditions, and the need to support small businesses. These pressing issues inspire Danny to advocate for meaningful change and to be a voice for his community.
He is committed to bringing the resources and opportunities necessary for growth, believing that everyone deserves the chance to build a good life right here at home. Danny is ready to work tirelessly to ensure that Northside-Westmount thrives.
