Candidate for Clayton Park West Elizabeth Eustaquio-Domondon
Elizabeth has lived in Clayton Park for over two decades with her husband Alfredo, a nurse, and their son Miguel, a recent Halifax West high school graduate.
Originally from the Philippines, she practised as a dentist before moving to Halifax and continued her career as a hygienist. Knowing first-hand the struggles faced by professionals immigrating to Nova Scotia, she has gone on to work at ISANS (Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia) for more than a decade, coordinating programs that welcome, integrate, and settle internationally trained healthcare professionals, particularly nurses. Dedicated to keeping Nova Scotians healthy, she is committed to working on long-term solutions for our province’s healthcare system.
An avid volunteer, she has supported countless community clean-ups, barbecues, and Heritage Day family events. Elizabeth’s leadership while serving as President of the Filipino Association was key in successfully advocating for the opening of a Consulate General of the Philippines in Halifax.
Elizabeth understands how difficult the affordability and housing crisis has had on our community. That is why she will advocate for important issues, such as free transit, cutting the HST by 2% and making life more affordable by removing the HST from all food in grocery stores.
Elizabeth will also continue to advocate to expand services right in our community at the Bayers Lake Outpatient Centre, by getting a 24/7 urgent care centre. We need more access to healthcare in our community, and this is an important solution to increasing access in Clayton Park West.
Elizabeth is a great listener, communicator and problem solver. Elizabeth wants a Better Deal For Nova Scotians, and will work with you to ensure your voice is heard.
