Candidate for Pictou West Mary Wooldridge-Elliott
As a lifelong resident of Pictou West, Mary is dedicated to the community and the families who live within it. Her connection to Pictou West runs deep, having been a bus driver for Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education for 22 years and now serving as the Municipal Councillor for District Four.
Mary is passionate about the issues that matter most to her community, like better access to healthcare and housing, making life more affordable for everyone by cutting taxes, and better serving our seniors. She is a strong believer that by working together, we can build a better Nova Scotia.
Mary is running to be the MLA because it’s clear the community is struggling. It’s becoming far too expensive to live in Nova Scotia. Power rates have climbed more than 15% in the past two years and inflation has caused the price of basic necessities to skyrocket. As a member of Team Churchill, Mary is committed to fighting to keep more money in your pocket with practical ideas like lowering the HST by 2% – the lowest sales tax in Atlantic Canada.
