Candidate for Kings North Richelle Brown Redden

Richelle Brown Redden has always been proud to call Annapolis Valley home. From her roots in Meadowview, where she has lived since 1997, Richelle has dedicated her life to community and economic growth. With a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University and an Advanced Diploma from NSCC Kingstec, she has held roles in manufacturing, property management, and workforce development.

Richelle’s commitment to rural prosperity has proved essential in fostering economic and social well-being. Inspired by her parents' entrepreneurial resilience, she was led to a role as Senior Economic Development Officer at the Valley Regional Enterprise Network. She is passionate about promoting diverse business ownership and has guided businesses through challenges in ideation, hiring, export readiness, funding, R&D, and succession planning.

Richelle’s impact is evident in the initiatives she’s led, such as the Manufacturing Taskforce and the Regional Workforce Development Strategy. These efforts have led to projects like the "Manufacture Your Future" career showcase and the Annapolis Valley Continuous Improvement program. Her leadership also extends to tourism, as seen in her work with the Strategic Tourism for Areas and Regions (STAR) project and contributions to the MIT REAP Ag Tech Accelerator proposal.

As a lifelong resident of the Annapolis Valley, Richelle has seen how the rural economy is often neglected. She is inspired by the ideas put forward by Team Churchill, like introducing more affordable housing options and cutting the HST by 2% to keep more money in your pocket.

As a proud new grandmother, Richelle's dedication to her community's well-being and the promotion of diversity has only deepened, driving her to continue making a positive impact for future generations.
