Congratulations to Hon. Iain Rankin, from Party President Dr. Joseph Khoury

It is with tremendous pride and excitement that I can now say the Honourable Iain Rankin is our new Leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, and Premier-designate of Nova Scotia!

First, I just want to say to everyone who participated in the 2020 Leadership – the candidates, the volunteers, and the voters – thank you. Our party is stronger because you chose to be a part of it.

Over the past four month, three strong candidates and over 16,000 Liberal Members have been engaged in a conversation about the issues facing our Province, and creating a vision for a better future for all Nova Scotians. That process culminated last night with Liberals and Nova Scotians coming together for our virtual convention.

Iain ran a campaign that resonated with Liberals and Nova Scotians, and we look forward to him carrying our Party to new heights.

Our Party has taken a major step forward, and we can’t wait to get to work in support of Iain’s bold vision for the province. Iain has the vision and determination to lead our Party to a third majority government.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Joseph Khoury
President, Nova Scotia Liberal Party
