Elizabeth Booth Nominated as Liberal Candidate for Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank

Elizabeth Booth has been nominated as the Liberal candidate for Waverley-Fall River- Beaver Bank in the next provincial election.

Elizabeth has lived in Fall River with her husband, Derek, since 2020. Since moving to the community, she has been an active community volunteer and has served as the Secretary of the Lakeview-Windsor Junction-Fall River Ratepayers Association, Director of the Fall River and Riverlakes Lions Club Christmas Express Food Hamper Program, Member of the Fall River Garden Club, and Co-Chair of the Keloose Community Festival.

“Having the opportunity to put my name forward as the Liberal candidate for Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank is something I’m incredibly excited about,” said Booth. “Since moving here four years ago, this community has welcomed me with open arms. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to my neighbours by putting my name on the ballot and fighting for key issues like housing, affordability, and better access to healthcare.”

Prior to moving to Nova Scotia, Elizabeth earned a degree in Engineering Studies from Carleton University and currently serves as a member of the Dalhousie Women in Engineering Mentorship Program. In 2021, she retired from a successful 33-year career with Canada Post where she managed national-scale projects that included union consultations, third party contracts, and business process improvements.

“Elizabeth is a fantastic candidate, and I am thrilled to have her represent Waverley- Fall River-Beaver Bank,” said Liberal Leader Zach Churchill. “I’m confident that Elizabeth will address local issues with the same dedication and effectiveness she has shown throughout her extensive career and volunteer work.”
