On Tuesday October 30th, the board of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party accepted the resignation of Jason Boudrot as president and federal director. Mr. Boudrot submitted his resignation Tuesday morning, citing personal reasons.
A special meeting of the board was called Tuesday October 30th in the afternoon, and the board’s vice-president, Dr. Joseph Khoury, was appointed to serve as president and federal director for the remainder of the term, pursuant to section 4.5(a) of the party’s bylaws.
This creates an opening at the position of provincial vice-president/federal vice-chair, which the Board is tasked with filling within 60 days, as outlined in section 5.2(b) of bylaw 8 on board vacancies.
To that end, and to allow the membership to participate in this process, the board wishes to solicit names for consideration from any Registered Liberal/Member of the party.
Please forward a C.V. and a one (1) page expression of interest for the position of vice-president/vice-chair to
president@liberal.ns.ca and the board will meet to consider the names put forward.
