Jacob Killawee elected as Liberal candidate for Chester-St. Margaret’s

(Halifax, NS) – Jacob Killawee has been elected as the candidate for Chester-St. Margaret’s and will represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party in the next provincial election. Due to COVID-19, the nomination process was conducted virtually.

Jacob proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy for fifteen years. During his time serving our country, Jacob completed a degree in Political Science from Saint Mary’s University. Prior to his successful career in the military, Jacob worked in the sales and banking industries. 

“I am proud to represent Team Rankin as the candidate for Chester-St. Margaret’s,” says Killawee. “Our constituents can trust that I will work tirelessly at the provincial table to address issues such as health care, long term care, environmental concerns and economic recovery.”

Jacob grew up in Hubbards and attended all three levels of school in the community. His deep connection to the community have allowed him to build strong relationships with the people of Chester-St. Margaret’s. Jacob lives in Tantallon with his wife, Meghan and their daughter. 

“Jacob is a tireless community advocate who will work hard for the people of Chester-St. Margaret’s,” says Premier Iain Rankin. “His passion and commitment to our province will make him a strong asset to our new Liberal government.”
