Job Opportunity: Creative Specialist

The Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus is looking for someone who is passionate about social media and politics to join our team as a Creative Specialist to develop and maintain a robust digital communications stance across the province.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Creative Specialist will play a critical role in crafting visual content that elevates the Party’s message across digital and print platforms. This role requires a creative thinker with hands-on experience in photography, videography, graphic design, and social media trends.

What you’ll do

  • Produce, develop, and manage visual content (photos, videos, graphics) for digital and offline use.
  • Create compelling visuals for social media, newsletters, and print materials.
  • Collaborate to pitch and develop content ideas aligned with current issues and the Party’s messaging.
  • Ensure visual content aligns with established branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain video and photo equipment, and capture stock footage and images.
  • Set up workflows and assets for live-streamed events on social media.
  • Track and implement the latest trends in social media visuals and formats.

What you bring

  • Experience in visual content creation across platforms.
  • Strong skills in photography, videography, and graphic design.
  • Knowledge of file formats and requirements for various social media channels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What we offer

  • A salary of $45,000 – 55,000 per year, dependant on experience
