Joey Amero has been nominated as the Liberal candidate in Digby-Annapolis for the next provincial election.
As a lifelong resident of Digby, Joey is a passionate advocate for the region and all it has to offer. Before becoming a financial advisor eight years ago, he worked in the education industry as a teacher assistant and tutor. Both careers have allowed him to help students, seniors, and families navigate the challenges many Nova Scotians are facing with the cost of living crisis.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of Team Churchill in the next provincial election,” said Amero. “The Houston government has overlooked rural communities and the people who live in them. Here in Digby-Annapolis, residents don’t have an emergency department they can rely on and are struggling to afford the basics. As an MLA, I will ensure our community is a place for young families to thrive and seniors to grow old with dignity.”
Joey is a dedicated volunteer and has given his time as a coach for a variety of sports in the community. As an educator and coach, Joey has made a positive impact in the lives of many young people in Digby-Annapolis.
“Joey cares deeply about the people in his community and will be an excellent representative for the riding,” said Liberal Leader Zach Churchill. “The people of Digby- Annapolis deserve a strong MLA that is willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver results for their community. I know that they can count on Joey to do just that.”
