Lloyd Hines acclaimed as Liberal candidate for Guysborough-Tracadie

(Halifax, NS) – Lloyd Hines has been acclaimed as the candidate for Guysborough-Tracadie and will represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party in the next provincial election.

Lloyd has been representing his constituents as MLA in the Nova Scotia Legislature since 2013. He has had the honour of serving in cabinet throughout his political career as Minister of Natural Resources and currently serves as Minister of Transportation and Active Transit.

“I am proud to have received the nomination to represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party for the new riding of Guysborough-Tracadie in the next provincial election,” said Hines. “I’m ready to get back to work to make sure that the good people of Guysborough-Tracadie get our fair share.”

Lloyd has been a strong advocate for his constituents during his time in government. He is a valued voice for rural economic development and has been involved in many important projects that benefit the constituents of Guysborough-Tracadie. The recent investments made in Sherbrooke Village will help attract visitors from across the province to a treasured tourist destination. Lloyd was a champion for the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex, facility that is now the pillar of the community. Additionally, his commitment to the safety of his constituents has led to several investments to improve the roads and highways of Guysborough-Tracadie.

“I am pleased to continue working with Lloyd in the next provincial election,” says Premier Iain Rankin. “We are so fortunate to have his voice at the table. He has been a proven advocate not only for the people of Guysborough-Tracadie, but all Nova Scotians. I look forward to continuing our work together in a new Liberal government.”
