Sharing power between provinces will ensure that the most affordable power is available to customers. The Atlantic Loop would upgrade the interties between our provinces, a crucial initiative given that increased electrification will significantly increase the demand for electricity.
Nova Scotia is currently co-chairing with the federal government the work on the Atlantic Loop. Stakeholders engaged in the discussions include the federal government, the five eastern provinces as well as the power utilities.
A re-elected Rankin government will continue to be a strong advocate for this project and work to secure federal financial support.
