Nova Scotians are doing their part to support the fight against climate change and a Liberal government will live up to their example by securing 100% renewable energy for provincial buildings by 2025.
We will achieve this by leveraging our advantage in wind energy, investing $1 million annually to source approximately 10 megawatts of clean, wind-generated electricity for provincial buildings.
Our government developed the Green Choice Program, and have appointed a procurement administrator, to give large-scale power customers in the province, including the federal and provincial governments and other interested public institutions, more options to buy clean energy. New, low-cost, renewable energy can help Nova Scotia fight climate change, while keeping electricity rates stable. The Liberal Party is committed to seeking affordable ways to continue to increase our renewable energy use.
