QEII Redevelopment

Your Liberal government is undertaking the largest healthcare infrastructure development in our history. At a price of $2 Billion, the QEII Redevelopment will see the closure of the aging Centennial, Victoria, and Dickson buildings on the Victoria General (VG) site of the QEII. In their place, the Halifax Infirmary site will be expanded, and the new facilities will have the most advanced equipment and technology to handle the most complex care in Atlantic Canada. During the sitting, 25 bills were passed, including legislation to reduce red tape for entrepreneurs who want to start new businesses, remove interprovincial trade barriers, formalize Develop Nova Scotia's role to drive inclusive economic growth and strategic economic infrastructure, replace the outdated Motor Vehicle Act with a new Traffic Safety Act, create a new gender identity option for birth certificates and to prohibit the harmful practice commonly known as conversion therapy....

This project will lead to care closer to home, reduced wait times, and move all cancer services to one location. A major expansion of the Halifax Infirmary site is the biggest component of the project. ...
