12 Apr Tony Ince acclaimed as Liberal candidate for Cole Harbour
(Halifax, NS) – Tony Ince has been acclaimed as the candidate for Cole Harbour and will represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party in the next provincial election.
Tony has proudly represented his community as MLA in the Nova Scotia Legislature since 2013. During his time in government, Tony has served as Minister of Communities, Culture, and Heritage, the Public Service Commission, and currently serves as the Minister of Communications Nova Scotia. Additionally, Tony has served as the Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs where he has served as a tireless advocate for African Nova Scotians across the province.
“Over the last eight years, I’ve had the privilege to represent and advocate on behalf of the people of Cole Harbour,” said Ince. “I’m humbled and excited to once again ask for their support, as we continue our work to build an even brighter future for our community.”
His compassion and advocacy have translated into his role as MLA, seeing through recent investments to leadership opportunities for Black and racially visible minority youth, like the Business is Jammin Society, as well as small businesses. Tony has also been a stead-fast supporter for the well-being of his constituents, helping to usher in investments towards the Cole Harbour Parks and Trails Association, local hiking programs, and the extensive expansion and renovation to Dartmouth General Hospital.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Tony for eight years and I have seen first-hand his dedication to his community,” says Premier Rankin. “I look forward to continuing our work together to create a more equitable Nova Scotia in a new Liberal government.”
