27 Apr COVID-19 Update: April 27, 2021
Today, the province is announcing 96 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 419 active cases: 90 in the Central Zone, 3 in the Eastern Zone, 1 in the Northern Zone, and 2 in the Western Zone.
Though numbers are high today, the Nova Scotia Liberal Party knows that Nova Scotians are doing their part to prevent the spread. As highlighted by Premier Iain Rankin, hundreds of incredible volunteers are helping thousands of Nova Scotians getting tested every day – together we are working to identify community spread faster.
As Premier Rankin remains dedicated in his focus in leading the province’s response to flatten the curve, we encourage everyone to continue working together in this effort. We need to work together to get these daily numbers to decline – get tested, stay home whenever possible, continue to follow Public Health measures, and get vaccinated if you are eligible.
Stay up-to-date on the restrictions in your community. Either view the full list of communities and the restrictions applying in them or look up an address to find out what restrictions apply in your area.
If you’re able to, please also consider volunteering at your local community pop-up testing site.
We all need to do everything we can to flatten the curve and stop the spread of this disease.
