Fixing Potholes Over Nixing Bridge Tolls
Removing the tolls on the MacKay and MacDonald bridges will be a disaster for our rural roads.
Rural roads in Nova Scotia are in disarray. Across the province, they are in need of critical maintenance and repair. Despite this, Tim Houston thinks it's time to cut the main funding source for the maintenance of two of the most travelled roads in the province: the MacDonald and MacKay bridges.
These bridges need consistent maintenance, and the money has to come from somewhere. They're already not doing enough, and now their existing budget will be stretched even thinner.
