At today’s Community Services Committee, the Houston government used their supermajority to pass a motion to restrict opposition questioning, limiting the ability to hold them accountable. The following is a statement from Interim Liberal Leader Derek Mombourquette:
“Today, the Houston government used its supermajority to limit opposition voices and avoid accountability. If this were truly about fairness, each party would have equal time to ask questions on behalf of Nova Scotians. Committees exist for transparency–not for the government to control the conversation and dodge scrutiny.”
