The Nova Scotia Liberal Party is pleased to announce that Becky Druhan and Amanda Mombourquette have been approved as candidates for the 2026 Leadership contest.
The leadership race marks an important moment for the Nova Scotia Liberal Party as members from across the province come together to choose the party’s next Leader and help shape its future direction.
The next Leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party will be announced at a leadership convention in Halifax on November 21, 2026.
“This leadership race is an important opportunity for our party to come together, engage members from across Nova Scotia, and build the momentum needed to earn the trust of Nova Scotians, “ said Nova Scotia Liberal Party President Margaret Miller. “We look forward to a positive and constructive campaign that gives members the opportunity to hear from both candidates and help shape the next chapter of our party.”
The Party will host three leadership debates across the province during the campaign, providing members with opportunities to hear directly from the candidates and learn more about their visions for Nova Scotia. Additional details, including debate dates and locations, will be announced in the coming weeks.
